The Other Bush

Yesterday, I was listening to the radio and heard a news blurb that Jeb Bush is encouraging school-age children to read "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe." He is suggesting this because of a contest that coincides with the release date of the movie. Overall, the program is to provoke kids into reading. I know that it would encourage me to read a book if the movie was coming out in a few months! (I did that with the first LOTR)

Apparantly, people are making a big fuss about it. When I read/watched this when I was little, I had NO idea that it was any type of reference to God and the Bible. I still don't really understand how it is. If people are getting upset about this, then why not get upset about the Lord of the Rings stuff since people insist that it is full of biblical references? Just doesn't make sense...
