Convictions
Okay.. the ranting is back.Am I a horrible person for thinking that if someone kills someone else, is convicted and/or confesses, that they should be sentenced to death or at least have limited rights while serving a life sentence without parole?
A "man" demands a sex change while in prison and considers it "cruel and unusual punishment" if they do not grant it. Seriously now... if I killed someone and was thrown in prison, I would NOT expect anything. His attorney says that he might attempt suicide if this operation is not allowed. 1) it says in the article he already tried to kill himself prior to the sentence, and 2) SO WHAT!? Many prisoners that are sentenced for life try that. People in prison get treated so well compared to some. It just doesn't seem right for someone in jail to demand such a thing, even if they were mentally unstable.

How in the world can two people confess to such an act (or plan of acts) and NOT be sentenced to death? Why is it that Muhammed can be sentenced to death in VA for a murder, but not for a cold blooded killing spree in MD/DC??
Maybe this just hits a little too close to home for me (my grandmother shops at the grocery store where one of the shootings occurred, not to mention my whole family is from that area.)
