Das Wetter ist schoen!!

This morning was great: I was able to bike to work and was actually COLD (even though it was only 65.) Now, I hate being cold, but it's much nicer to arrive at work not sweaty. I've had quite a nice workout today: I biked to work (2.2 miles), down to the tennis courts (1 mile), played tennis for an hour and a half, then biked the 3.2 miles home. Whew. My ankle is slightly injured from running last night and tennis today, so I decided to skip the running this evening. I'm going to try to start running in the mornings before work. It's easier to avoid snakes and june bugs that way. And it's easier to keep track of the time.

Back to the weather... The east is having all the rain that we need. My family lives in the DC area and one of my aunts said that her neighborhood nearly lost their cars due to flooding. Various buildings in DC have had to shut down and mass transit has also been affected. The city is not built to sustain substantial flooding. My aunt said they had 7 inches last night alone. Eeek! It's just not a good situation. Please keep everyone there in your prayers. It is dangerous and it is not expected to end for nearly a week.
