Wuhoo!

I finally get an extended break from work! I am pumped. I don't have to work Wednesday through Sunday, not counting a brief stop-in on Thanksgiving. I haven't been off for more than the weekend since Spring Break, so this is very much welcomed. :-)

YAY!

Another wedding?

So.... yeah.

I was asked a couple days ago to be an emergency bridesmaid in my friends' wedding. Very exciting, but also kind of stressful since it is on December 28th. I have to figure out what to wear (it's an Edwardian theme). I either have to make my dress from a pattern or modify another dress. Should be interesting.

Thankfully, I hadn't yet purchased my plane tickets home. Now I just have to determine travel plans for both. Fun fun fun! :-p

Greatest of all: Yesterday I got my girl scout cookies!! YAY!

Fun days

The past few days have been kinda interesting. On Monday, I had an interview with WDT. It went really well, but I was given a take home questionnaire thing to fill out and return. It was difficult to get completed in the time I had, but I turned it in. If they want me, they want me. The questions got me thinking about a few fun things to play with. One of those things is Google Maps. I decided to start playing around with it some more. I'm creating a map for Mesonet technician flag status. Pretty nifty!

Hmm what else... I've been too busy. I'm always doing something - whether it is homework, work, church, SCAMS, SAC, and whatever else it is that I do. Just getting a little stressful now.

:-)

I just got a call saying that I have an interview with an in-town company. I'm excited! Not much to say on that yet though. We'll see :-)

Because quotes are fun, here's one from radiation and climate today:
"It's like playing a game, just a game with the Earth's climate."

Quotes

A few quotes from Dynamics today:

"It's a living human...*pause*...living organism, a meteorological organism."
-Howie Bluestein, on a cyclone's interaction with the atmosphere.

"That's not the whole story: that's just the quasi-geostrophic side of the story."
-Howie Bluestein, on cyclone movement

"The wind doth blow from the west in the Rockies, creating a lee cyclone. Back on the Canadian ranch, it's getting damn cold!"
-Howie Bluestein, on cyclone movement

Ein Wort...

All I have to say is:

RAWR!

That about sums up the past couple of weeks for me.
