UNLV Democratic Debate

While the debate last night was very satisfying for my two preferred candidates, I feel that it was not such a great display for Hillary Clinton. In this specific section of the debate, she was asked to explain the role of gender in the race and whether or not she was 'playing the gender card' to get ahead. As you watch this video, she initially says no, then further proceeds to contradict herself AT LEAST 7 times by making many female-friendly remarks. It seems a little crazy to do that while directly answering a question concerning gender. The rest of the evening was scattered with similar remarks, but no other section was as heavy as this. Bravo, Ms. Clinton..

Slug Hunting

Yesterday's weather was interesting. It was rainy and windy and just plain awesome. I was expecting a UPS package while I was at work. For some reason, they just left a note instead of taking it to the office. Due to the wind and rain, it had blown off my door and was sitting in the mulch next to my door. So I picked it up and went in. I felt something gooey on the back, but I just assumed it was a hunk of mulch. I turned the note over and there was a dark blob. Looking closer, I could see that the dark blob had little antenna eyeballs. Then I realized it was a slug and I was fascinated. And of course, I had to take pictures of it.





I also figured that if one was out, there were probably more. I took my camera outside to go "slug hunting" and found a huge one next to my door. Fun times...
