KY Allergy Season!
I think it might actually be possible that my allergies might be worse here in Kentucky than in Oklahoma. Doesn't that sound like FUN!? .... NO. After thinking I was starting to get the flu (chills, fever, etc.), I realized that it was actually a sinus infection starting up. Yippee! So I got into the doctor today and, wouldn't you know it, I'm now on my second Z-Pack of 2008, in addition to Nasonex (nasal spray..blech), Sudafed, AND Zyrtec. I'm not going to start it all until tomorrow, so tomorrow will be an interesting day.When I got home, I was curious about the flowering tree outside of my apartment. I thought it was a bradford pear, but it didn't smell, so I decided to take pictures (that seems to be my answer to everything). I see an old guy drive by with his daughter (?) and they go off to their place. Then he drives back by, stops in the middle of the road, and yells out to me: "so, you know what kind of tree that is?" I said, "I'm not sure, that's why I'm taking pictures of it." He said, "oh, well that's what you call a 'bradford pear'. blah blah blah blah about the trees here." Meanwhile, cars are trying to go up and down the road. At that point, i didn't want to risk another encounter with him, so I went inside. Here's a result (and more here)of my 'adventure':
