From Forgiven to Forgiving

The title is the same as the book we are going through in my church small group. The book works through how we are to treat forgiveness and the process of true forgiveness. I've definitely had my share of homework with this topic. It's really hard to forgive those that are bitter and hold grudges, especially when that attitude is so easy to mimic in my own actions. But it's silly to act in that manner because in the end it is all insignificant. There are much more important things on which to spend time.

I absolutely love my group. They have helped me through so much and I can't imagine life without it. It has allowed me to see how these other people truly are and it exposes who I really am to them. It's amazing because whenever I ask for advice, they know me well enough to be able to help me a lot. Maybe a lot of people have experienced this a lot with other close knit groups of friends or family, but this is the first I've allowed people to really know me.

I've been with this group about 2 (or 3... can't remember) years now. I thank God for these people and it's this intimacy that has built up that makes me never want to leave Norman.
